July 2026 Kiwanis Music Nites - Velvet & Nylon

Velvet & Nylon has been an amazing project for Tony Ybarra. Growing up as a young guitarist in the 80s, the iconic songs and guitarists of that era inspired me deeply. Revisiting this music now on Spanish guitar gives these powerful songs new meaning while keeping them intriguing but most of all fun.

Tony Ybarra, Melody Collins, and Theo Wheeler provide the vocals that bring these classics to life. Combined with heavy metal flute, percussion, bass, and drums, the band creates a unique fusion of musical styles driven by the talents of Elias Vasquez, Lorenzo Martinez, and Guil Juliao.
